My friend recently gave birth to a 6lb and change baby and her Little Starter Cloth Diaper Pattern nb diapers were huge! I came up with an XXS pattern, just for her

Okay so I am printing this
and thinking it should work for a craft my mother has requested for baby shower decorations- cloth diaper cup holders
so I'll try it & see how it goes…

Wow, thanks for doing this. My dd was 5 lb 14 oz and I ended up using sposies for the first 3 weeks until the newborns fit. I think it’s awesome that you created a pattern for tiny babies!

hi I really want to make my own cloth diapers but I can’t figure out what fabric you use to make them water proof or do you just put the vinyl pooty training pants over them but I would thik it is shame to make them out of cute patterned fabric and then just cover it with a white cover

Thanks! I just whipped up a dozen of these for the new baby. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find something to fit a 5lber. They are adorable on top of it.

Just to follow up (a little late, 2 years later)-I made a dozen AIO, and a dozen covers. I ended up with a 7lber :o , who came home at a little over 6lbs(really short with a big belly). The AIO were a bit small and only lasted a couple weeks, the covers worked great for the first month, and were pretty much all I used. Everybody wanted to know where they came from! They are also a hit with the boys when they need dolly diapers.

what is the gusset for? I have your os pattern and its not on there, so I am confused now…
also on this pattern I have to cut the knit fabric bigger than the other fabrics???

It’s the Little Starter Pattern, which has instructions to add the gusset to the cover style.
